Afropop queen Tiwa Savage has unveiled her most vulnerable body of work yet with This One Is Personal, a 15-track album that follows her acclaimed 2020 project Celia. In a season packed with heavyweight releases — from Burna Boy’s No Sign of Weakness to ODUMODUBLVCK’s surprise drop — Tiwa boldly delivers a sonic diary that prioritizes raw emotion over spectacle.

Recorded over two years across Nashville, Malibu, and Lagos, the album was teased by singles You4Me and On A Low featuring Skepta, both praised for their R&B-soaked depth. Executive produced by Tiwa, Vannessa Amadi-Ogbonna, and Mystro, the 42-minute record masterfully blends Afrobeats, soulful R&B, and Afro-fusion into a deeply personal narrative.

Sparse yet intentional collaborations add texture — Skepta brings grit on On A Low, taves seduces on Addicted, and James Fauntleroy lends emotional weight to Change. Tiwa’s artistry shines brightest in solo moments like the piano-driven I’m Done and the fiery You’re Not the First (You’re Just the Worst), where her commanding vocals push personal storytelling to the fore.
