Nigerian rapper Zoro Swagbag returns with a vibrant new single titled “Settings,” delivering his signature blend of hard-hitting rap, Igbo cultural influences, and contemporary hip-hop. The release follows his September single, “Big Shot,” as he continues to build momentum towards the end of the year.

Produced by Izzy Beatzz and Masterkraft, “Settings” combines heavy bass, energetic percussion, and the distinctive sound of the traditional Oja flute, played by Ojadili Igbo. The indigenous instrument adds a unique cultural touch to the production, complementing Zoro’s commanding delivery and seamless switches between Igbo, English, and Nigerian Pidgin.

Lyrically, the track explores confidence, success, an elevated lifestyle, and the mindset required to rise above limitations. Zoro delivers punchlines and relatable proverbs with an assertive flow, while the catchy hook creates an energetic atmosphere suited for live performances and audience sing-alongs.

The song also features songwriting contributions from Only1Klem, with additional vocals by Ruffcoin and Only1Klem. Mr Tee Albino contributes to the outro, while Selebobo handles the mixing and mastering.

Known for embracing his cultural roots, Zoro Swagbag has continued to establish his identity in Nigerian music through songs such as “Ogene” featuring Flavour and “Achikolo” featuring Phyno. With “Settings,” he maintains that distinctive sound while exploring themes of ambition, self-belief, and personal growth.

“Settings” is another confident addition to Zoro’s catalogue, blending indigenous sounds with modern rap production.
