Davido headlining the AFCON 2025 Kick-Off Concert in Rabat, Morocco
Africa is already in party mode ahead of the first whistle of AFCON 2025, and leading the celebrations is none other than Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido. The hitmaker has been confirmed as one of the headline performers for the official AFCON 2025 kick-off concert, set to take place on Saturday, December 20, at the OLM Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat, Morocco.
Davido won’t be lighting up the stage alone. He’ll be joined by an exciting mix of global and African stars, including French Montana, Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui, rising act Says’z, and Franco-Moroccan sensation Lartiste.
The concert is expected to kick off AFCON 2025 celebrations in grand style, blending music, culture, and football into one unforgettable night. Organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in partnership with TotalEnergies and the Kingdom of Morocco, the event has been described as one of the most ambitious entertainment programmes ever staged alongside the tournament.
Fans with valid Fan IDs or match tickets will be able to attend the concert for free, with festivities running from 6:00 pm to midnight (local time). Attendees can expect a rich mix of Afrobeats, pop, urban sounds, and traditional influences — a true reflection of Africa’s diverse musical identity.
Davido’s inclusion further cements his status as one of Afrobeats’ biggest global ambassadors. With critically acclaimed albums like A Good Time, A Better Time, and Timeless, as well as standout performances at major sporting events such as the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar and the 2017 AFCON opening ceremony, the singer has become a trusted name for high-profile celebrations. French Montana’s appearance carries special significance as a return to his home country, while Douaa Lahyaoui, Says’z, and Lartiste bring strong local flavour and rising-star energy to the lineup.
