Wizkid and Reekado Banks Bury the Hatchet, Hang Out in Lagos Lounge

 Wizkid and Reekado Banks have put their past differences aside, marking the end of their long-standing feud. On February 24, 2025, the two artists were spotted together at Above Lifestyle, Reekado Banks' newly launched lounge in Lagos, alongside rapper Shallipopi.

Their public reunion suggests they have reconciled after years of tension.

Their fallout dates back to 2020 during the End SARS protests when Reekado Banks promoted their collaborative song, Omo Olomo. Wizkid criticized the timing, referring to Reekado as a “clout animal” and urging him to delete the post. This led to a rift between the former collaborators.

With this reunion, fans are hopeful that they might finally release Omo Olomo or even work on fresh music together. Wizkid has been actively performing in Nigeria since December 2024, promoting his latest album, Morayo, a tribute to his late mother. The album has been widely praised and has broken streaming records.

This renewed friendship between Wizkid and Reekado Banks signals a positive shift in the Nigerian music industry and opens the door for exciting future collaborations.
