Only in Nigeria a rich and influential man will bribe the police to put their fellow man in jail forever. In a saner clime, no one individual has such power. Everyone is equal before the law and no matter how rich you are, you cannot influence or weaponise the police. The police can only investigate and arrest but only the law and judge can put you in prison. Nigeria is a dysfunctional society where the police is a willing tool in the hands of the politicians and the rich. If Apki defame you, sue him for defamation. That’s why we have the court.
