Davido has officially announced the release date

 Davido has officially announced the release date for his highly anticipated single "Awuke," featuring YG Marley, the grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley. This marks the Nigerian Afrobeats superstar's first solo track of 2024, following his fourth studio album, *Timeless*, released in March 2023.

Despite a busy year filled with collaborations, including popular remixes like "Twe Twe" with Kizz Daniel, Davido is now ready to return to his own music. "Awuke" is set to be an upbeat Amapiano track, showcasing a surprising genre shift given YG Marley's reggae roots.

The single will be released on Thursday, October 31st, 2024. Davido shared the announcement on social media, along with a pre-save link for fans eager to be among the first to hear the new track.
