The rift between the two musicians, which dates back to their hit collaboration Allo in 2017, resurfaced as Kwaw Kese used social media as a platform to express his sentiments. In a post and accompanying video on Sunday, February 18, 2024, Kwaw Kese did not hold back in criticizing Shatta Wale, particularly for his recent collaboration with Portable following an interview at 3 Music TV where Shatta Wale had criticized Stonebwoy's approach to music and business collaborations.

Taking a swipe at Shatta Wale's fashion sense, Kwaw Kese questioned why some Ghanaian artists dress as if they live in Alaska, referring to Shatta Wale's choice of attire in his recent interview. The multiple award-winning rapper's remarks drew attention to the ongoing tension between the two artists.
